Request for Department of Education, Department of Land and Natural Resources, and county planning departments to compile a comprehensive report listing all abandoned, underutilized, unused, or excess properties under their jurisdiction.

Properties to be identified must be suitable for educational, recreational, health, and human services programs, including housing, early learning centers, and senior services.

Each property listing must include location, tax map key, zoning, land classification, ownership, current use status, building description with pictures, and suitability assessment for public programs.

Special attention to public schools facing closure or consolidation, whose facilities could be repurposed to serve multiple community needs through co-location of various programs.

Reports must be submitted to the Legislature at least twenty days before the 2012 Regular Session convening, with copies distributed to relevant state and county departments.
