Request wholesalers and retailers operating in Hawaii to voluntarily refrain from selling, purchasing, and distributing products containing Bisphenol-A (BPA)

Cite health risks associated with BPA exposure including adverse effects on fetal and infant brain development, obesity, thyroid function, and breast cancer, with heightened risks for babies and children

Note that several jurisdictions including Chicago, Minnesota, Connecticut, and Canada have banned BPA from certain children's food and beverage containers

Direct the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to disseminate certified copies of this resolution to wholesalers and retailers that distribute BPA-containing products
