Commends and honors four individuals recognized for their service to Hawaiian communities: Jerry Konanui of Pahoa, Shad Kane of Kapolei, Leina'ala Kalama Heine of Waimanalo, and Dorothy Kanani Awai of Haleiwa.

Recognizes Jerry Konanui as a Native Hawaiian farmer and kupuna credited with rediscovering extinct varieties of Hawaiian kalo and leading efforts to restore and protect Hawaii's endemic food and medicinal plants.

Honors Shad Kane for his leadership in Hawaiian community organizations, cultural preservation efforts, and work promoting job creation and civic involvement in West O'ahu.

Acknowledges Leina'ala Kalama Heine for her contributions to hula preservation through the Merrie Monarch Festival and her work training future kumu hula practitioners.

Recognizes Kupuna Dorothy Kanani Awai for decades of community service as a Hawaiian studies teacher and ukulele instructor dedicated to perpetuating Hawaiian culture and music traditions.
