Requests the Board of Veterinary Examiners to establish a task force examining the feasibility of implementing continuing education requirements for veterinarians in Hawaii.

Task force must include the Executive Officer of the Board of Veterinary Examiners (serving as Chairperson), the Chairperson of the Hawaiian Humane Society Board of Directors, the President of the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association, and other appropriate veterinary community members.

Task force directed to consider the amount and type of continuing education required, monitoring compliance mechanisms, potential exemptions, and solutions to challenges posed by Hawaii's geographic location.

Task force required to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days prior to the Regular Session of 2012.

Notes that Hawaii is one of only a few states without a continuing education requirement for veterinarians.
