Requests the Department of Health to report on the feasibility of implementing a labeling system for food products containing genetically engineered material, including clear and objective identification methods.

Directs the report to analyze the impact of legislation that would mandate labeling of genetically engineered foods and establish sanctions for labeling violations.

Requires the Department of Health to collaborate with the Attorney General, Department of Agriculture, and local agricultural producers and retailers in preparing the report.

Mandates the Department of Health submit the report no later than twenty days before the convening of the 2012 Regular Session.

Notes that numerous countries including Japan, China, and European Union nations already require genetically engineered food labeling.
