Recognizes October as Women's Health Month in Hawaii to raise public awareness of health issues unique to women.

Calls for Women's Health Month activities including education workshops, health fairs, lectures, fitness activities, and other special events designed to educate the public about women's health issues.

Acknowledges that minority women are disproportionately affected by health conditions including tobacco-related cancers, heart disease, depression, and reproductive health risks.

Applauds women who take active roles in educating others about healthier lifestyles, disease prevention, and treatment.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Director of Health, Director of Human Services, and Executive Director of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women.
