• Department of Health is requested to convene a Developmental Screening Task Force to review Aloha United Way's Early Childhood Developmental Screening pilot projects on Oahu.

• Task Force must review the University of Hawai'i at Manoa Center on Disability Studies' evaluation of the pilot projects and make recommendations for developing an integrated, universal early childhood developmental screening system in Hawaii.

• Department of Health must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes.

• Preliminary findings from pilot projects show that 21 percent of screened children required follow-up services, indicating need for comprehensive outreach and case management components.

• Certified copies of the resolution must be transmitted to the Director of Health, Chairperson of the Center on Disability Studies at University of Hawai'i at Manoa, and President of Aloha United Way.
