H.R. 211 Summary

• Urges the Hawaii Sister-State Committee to establish opportunities to develop and foster international relationships between Hawaii and the international community, both official and personal

• Directs the committee to develop, plan, and coordinate such opportunities for the State, counties, business community, and interested groups or individuals

• Calls for exploring opportunities to showcase Hawaii's arts, historic properties, and other items and places of cultural significance to the international community

• Requires the Hawaii Sister-State Committee to consult, cooperate with, and seek advice from appropriate agencies in fulfilling its responsibilities

• Requests the committee submit a report of its activities, findings, and recommendations to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes
