Request the Department of Health to gather and report annual state statistics on deaths and injuries related to all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to the Legislature.

Require the Department of Health to collect ATV-related injury and death data from hospitals, clinics, and private physicians across the state.

Direct the Department of Health to report current and past ATV statistics and recommend appropriate legislation to prevent deaths and injuries.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Director of the Department of Health, Hawaii Medical Association, Healthcare Association of Hawaii, American Academy of Pediatrics-Hawaii, and American Orthopedic Association-Hawaii Chapter.

Establish this request in response to Hawaii's lack of ATV safety laws and documented ATV-related fatalities and injuries, with Hawaii having recorded 14 ATV-related deaths from 1982 through 2007.
