Requests the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to establish a Gaming Task Force to study the economic and social impacts of allowing gaming and casino operations on Hawaiian Home Lands.

Task Force membership includes the Chairperson of the Hawaiian Homes Commission, Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Chairperson of the Hawaiian Tourism Authority Board, and Chairperson of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (or their designees).

Task Force members shall select a chairperson from among themselves.

Task Force must submit a report of findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the convening of the 2012 Regular Session.

Recognizes that Hawaii is one of only two states prohibiting all types of gaming and that competing destinations use gaming to attract visitor dollars.
