Requests the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to establish a task force to improve enforcement of state civil and criminal laws against unlicensed contractors.

Task force to consist of two representatives each from the Regulated Industries Complaint Office, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Department of Taxation, Department of the Attorney General, and county Prosecuting Attorney offices.

Task force directed to develop a cohesive enforcement strategy among civil, administrative, and criminal enforcement agencies to combat unlicensed contractor activity.

Task force to evaluate existing laws and propose new legislation or revisions to facilitate more effective enforcement against unlicensed contractors.

Director must report task force findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes.
