Recognizes and commends Cecilio Rodriguez and Henry Kapono Ka'aihue of the musical duo CECILIO & KAPONO on receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award as contemporary Hawaiian music artists.

Acknowledges the duo's formation in 1973 during the Hawaiian Renaissance and their signature "C&K sound" that led to a multi-album recording contract with Columbia Records and eight consecutive months of sold-out shows at Waikiki's Rainbow Villa.

Notes CECILIO & KAPONO's nearly four decades of musical career including 14 released albums, multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, and classic songs such as "About You," "Highway in the Sun," and "Sailin'" that remain island favorites.

Recognizes the duo's international touring career performing in Japan, Guam, Saipan, Tahiti, and the Cook Islands, and sharing stages with major American artists including Santana, Loggins & Messina, and Boz Scaggs.

Expresses the House of Representatives' thanks for their contributions to contemporary Hawaiian music and extends warmest aloha and best wishes for their continued success.
