Request Department of Transportation to conduct a feasibility study on vehicular safety improvements for Roosevelt Bridge, a structure built in 1933 over Kipapa Gulch.

Require exploration of bridge widening, improved lighting, safety precautions, and planning alternatives to address narrow width, limited visibility, and flooding issues.

Direct Department of Transportation to submit report to Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2012 Regular Session convening, including final cost estimates, discussion of impediments, and recommendations to overcome them.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Governor, state and local transportation directors, Mayor, and Honolulu City Council leadership.
