Request that the University of Hawaii Board of Regents study the reintegration of the Office of the Chancellor of UH-Manoa with the Office of the President of the UH System.

The 2001 UH reorganization separated UH System and UH-Manoa under different executive officers, originally intended to incur no additional administrative costs.

The Office of the Chancellor of UH-Manoa now requires an annual operational budget of $14.7 million with over $6.4 million in additional administrative costs since its establishment.

Board of Regents must report findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the convening of the 2012 Regular Session.

Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Chair of the UH Board of Regents, the Chancellor of UH-Manoa, and the President of the UH System.
