Request Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation to convene a statewide community land trust task force to study establishment of a statewide community land trust for homeownership opportunities in Hawaii.

Task force to comprise 8 members including representatives from Board of Land and Natural Resources, Hawaii Public Housing Authority, Na Hale O Maui, The Trust for Public Land, community land trusts on Kauai, Oahu, and the Big Island, Affordable Housing Alliance, Hawaii Habitat for Humanity, and Hawaii Association of REALTORS.

Executive Director of Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation to serve as task force chairperson.

Task force encouraged to utilize technical expertise from national organizations including Community Land Trust Network, Land Trust Accreditation Commission, and Community Land Trust Academy.

Task force required to submit report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to Legislature no later than 20 days prior to convening of 2012 Regular Session.
