Extends the sunset date of Act 126, Session Laws of Hawaii 2009, from June 30, 2011, to June 30, 2013, maintaining water quality standards for marine waters.

Act 126's water quality standards revisions conform to levels recommended by the State of Hawaii and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Standards remain in effect until replaced by appropriately approved water quality standards adopted through Hawaii Department of Health rulemaking and EPA approval.

Legislature finds the revised standards are adequate to protect designated and existing uses of the State's marine waters and are important to economic and social development.

Takes effect on June 29, 2011.
