Requires health insurers offering complementary or alternative medicine riders to cover services provided by naturopathic physicians licensed under Hawaii law, effective July 1, 2011.

Applies coverage requirements to accident and health insurance policies, mutual benefit societies, and fraternal benefit societies, with reimbursement rates based on workers' compensation medical and rehabilitation benefits.

Expands existing insurance provisions to include naturopathic physicians in child health supervision services, medical food coverage for metabolic disorders, and health maintenance organization provider definitions.

Mandates health insurers, mutual benefit societies, fraternal benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations collaborate with the Board of Naturopathic Medicine to establish certification standards for naturopathic physicians as participating providers by January 1, 2012, without categorically excluding them.

Most provisions take effect January 1, 2012, with remaining provisions effective July 1, 2050.
