Amends the definition of "renewable electrical energy" in Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 269-91 to include customer-sited, grid-connected renewable energy generation effective January 1, 2015.

Removes customer-sited, grid-connected renewable energy systems from the category of electrical energy savings brought about by renewable displacement or offset technologies, beginning January 1, 2015.

Maintains existing categories of renewable electrical energy including energy generated from renewable sources and energy savings from solar water heating, sea-water air-conditioning, heat pump water heating, and other specified technologies.

Takes effect upon approval.
