S.B. 14 - Agricultural Development and Food Security Special Fund

• Expands authorized uses of the agricultural development and food security special fund to include improvement of dams and reservoirs.

• Adds water quality testing and improvement as an eligible use of special fund moneys.

• Authorizes funding for investigative studies to identify and assess necessary improvements to dams, reservoirs, irrigation systems, and transportation networks.

• Maintains existing fund uses including grants to farmers, land acquisition, equipment purchases, agricultural research, inspector positions, and product marketing.

• Effective date: July 1, 2011.
