Requires the director of health to establish a seven-member working group to develop a comprehensive plan for improving lupus education and awareness throughout the State.

Working group shall include representatives from state agencies, lupus researchers, health professionals treating lupus patients, nonprofit organizations including Lupus Hawaii, and individuals with lupus.

Plan must focus on minority and at-risk populations and may include distributing health information, developing educational materials for health professionals, supporting continuing medical education, conducting workshops and seminars, and maintaining a directory of lupus-related services and specialists.

Director of health shall submit the working group's comprehensive plan to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2012 regular legislative session, with the working group terminating June 30, 2012.

Effective date is July 1, 2050.
