HI SB62

Establishes maximum cost of 10 cents per page for reproducing government records (previously had only a 5-cent minimum with no maximum).

Requires each government agency to keep a written record of all public records requests that includes the specific record requested, date of request, whether the request was granted or denied, and basis for any denial.

Makes the written record of requests itself a publicly disclosable government record available upon request.

Applies to copies of maps, plans, diagrams, photographs, photostats, and geographic information system digital data files that are open to public inspection.

Takes effect upon approval.
