Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 521-21(b) to allow landlords and tenants to agree that rent may be paid at intervals more frequent than monthly.

Permits duly apportioned rent to be paid on a schedule agreed upon by both parties, rather than restricting payment to monthly installments.

Maintains existing provisions for public assistance recipients to adjust rent payment dates and make one-time catch-up payments.

Effective date: July 1, 2011.
