Replaces the term "visitation" with "parenting time" in Hawaii Revised Statutes sections pertaining to child custody, care, and maintenance between children and their parents.

Adds "parenting time" as an alternative term in sections that reference visitation between children and other appropriate parties such as grandparents and siblings.

Exempts chapters 583A (Uniform Child-Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act) and 587A (Child Protective Act) from these terminology changes.

Amends 12 specific sections of Hawaii Revised Statutes including family court custody and visitation provisions to implement the language substitution.

Takes effect upon approval without changing coverage, eligibility, rights, or responsibilities of the affected statutory provisions.
