Vermicast (worm castings) produced from vermicomposting enhances plant growth, suppresses plant diseases, and can be sold at school fundraisers to generate revenue

Hawaii produces the highest amount of solid waste per person in the United States; vermicomposting reduces school waste by composting kitchen scraps, garden trimmings, and paper materials

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, school principals, and Board of Agriculture Chairperson
