Establishes a Joint Urban Core and Main Street Redevelopment Working Group to discuss mixed use development in urban cores and main streets, density construction to minimize sprawl, and transit-oriented mixed use development.

Working group membership includes chairs/vice chairs of relevant Senate and House committees, designated legislators, state agency directors (Office of Planning, Finance, Comptroller, Board of Land and Natural Resources), county mayors and council chairs, Honolulu planning director, Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation chairperson, and representatives from construction trades, contractor associations, and real estate organizations.

President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives jointly select the working group chairperson.

Working group must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the convening of the 2012 Regular Session.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to all designated state and county officials, agencies, and stakeholder organizations.
