Requests the University of Hawaii to convene a working group to explore establishing a charter school focused on agricultural business education.

Working group must include representatives from the University of Hawaii administration, College of Education, College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, Board of Education, Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, Board of Agriculture, Board of Land and Natural Resources, Hawaii Agricultural Research Center, Agribusiness Development Corporation, and working agriculturalists from various sectors.

Working group is to explore potential partnerships with the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, develop curriculum including technology and business studies, and identify instructional tools such as farm field trips and garden plots.

University of Hawaii must submit a report of the working group's findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2012 Regular Session.

Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to relevant state and university officials and agricultural organizations.
