Office of Hawaiian Affairs requested to convene a Hawaiian Cultural Resources Working Group to develop an action plan for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive Hawaiian cultural resources inventory database

Working group to include representatives from Hawaii Tourism Authority, State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, University of Hawaii programs, hotel and lodging associations, native Hawaiian organizations, business groups, and other public and private entities

Action plan must address incorporation of Hawaiian cultural resources information, visitor industry programs, community-based activities, and strategies for online and technology-based access to the database

Action plan must include recommendations for personnel and financial resources needed, workforce development strategies (including standardized curriculum and workplace excellence awards), the entity to house the database, and a timeline for completion

Office of Hawaiian Affairs to submit the action plan to the Governor and Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes
