University of Hawaii and Department of Education are requested to inventory their existing teleconferencing and videoconferencing facilities and equipment.

Requested entities must report on the feasibility of conducting Board of Regents and Board of Education meetings, including community, committee, and subcommittee meetings, via videoconferencing or teleconferencing.

Reports must be submitted to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the start of the 2012 Regular Session.

Certified copies of the resolution must be transmitted to the President of the University of Hawaii System, Superintendent of Education, Chairperson of the Board of Regents, and Chairperson of the Board of Education.
