Recognizes September 2011 as Education Awareness and Appreciation Month in Hawaii.

Dedicates each week of September to a different type of educational institution: first week to public schools, second week to charter schools, third week to private schools, and fourth week to home schools.

Acknowledges education's role in Hawaii's economic, social, and cultural vitality and its importance in preparing students for success.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Education, Superintendent of Education, Executive Director of the Charter School Administrative Office, and Executive Director of the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools.
