Establishes an Urban Core and Main Street Redevelopment Working Group to discuss mixed use development in urban areas and main streets, density construction to minimize sprawl, and transit-oriented development.

Working group composition includes the Senate Committee on Water, Land, and Housing leadership, designated senators, state directors (Planning, Finance, Comptroller, Land and Natural Resources), county mayors and council chairs, city planners, and representatives from construction, development, and land use industries.

President of the Senate selects a working group member to serve as chairperson.

Working group must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes.

Certified copies of the resolution are transmitted to relevant state and county officials, planning departments, transit authority, construction trade councils, and development organizations.
