Requests all domestic and foreign insurance companies that have issued commercial general liability policies in Hawaii to submit total premiums received for such policies over the past ten years to the Legislature.

Submission deadline set for May 3, 2011, during the Regular Session of 2011.

Responds to Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals decision in Group Builders, Inc. v. Admiral Insurance Company (2010) that construction defect claims are not covered under contractors' general liability policies.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be sent to the State Insurance Commissioner, Hawaii Insurers Council Executive Director, General Contractors Association of Hawaii President, and Building Industry Association of Hawaii President.
