Senate Resolution 88 encourages the Department of Human Services to consider partnering with CGI to implement the "My Safe Drawer" application statewide for foster youth transitioning out of the foster care system.

My Safe Drawer is a secure, password-protected, web-based application that stores health, education, and personal information, and allows foster youth to upload and save vital documents such as birth certificates, social security cards, and resumes.

The resolution addresses the challenge that former foster youth often leave care with only paper copies of essential documents and may lose them while moving between temporary housing, creating barriers to employment, college applications, and medical care.

Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to the Director of Human Services, the Executive Director of Mental Health America of Hawai'i, and members of the Hawaii Transition Age Youth Task Force.
