HI HB2104

Allows blind and visually impaired persons to apply for and obtain disability parking permits by adding them to the definition of "person with a disability" under Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 291-51.

Adds a new category (6) to the definition of disability that includes persons who are blind or visually handicapped as defined in sections 235-1, 347-1, and 347-2.

Recognizes that blind and visually impaired persons face similar mobility difficulties and safety hazards as other persons with disabilities when navigating parking lots.

Makes minor grammatical corrections by changing "which" to "that" and adjusting punctuation in the disability definition.

Becomes effective July 1, 2050.
