Exempts low-risk nonresidential agricultural buildings and structures on commercial farms or ranches of two or more contiguous acres from county building permit requirements.

Exempted buildings include manufactured structures, shipping containers, greenhouses, aquaculture facilities, one-story masonry or wood-framed buildings with structural spans under 25 feet, and properly engineered larger buildings that comply with setback codes and anchoring requirements.

Requires owners to notify the fire department and county building agency upon completion, and mandates compliance with state electrical codes and chapter 342D wastewater rules for affected structures.

Does not apply to buildings on urban-zoned land or to structures already exempted by county ordinance, and does not supersede lease conditions.

Effective February 1, 2050.
