Require persons exempt from child care licensing regulations under HRS §346-152 to submit to adult abuse perpetrator checks to be eligible to provide child care and receive subsidies from the Department of Human Services

Mandate the Department of Human Services to develop standards using adult abuse perpetrator checks to verify the reputable and responsible character of child care facility applicants, prospective employees, and new employees

Require child care facility applicants and providers to submit statements to the Department disclosing any previous abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult by themselves or their prospective employees

Authorize the Department to deny license or registration applications, request termination of new employees, or revoke licenses or registrations upon confirmation that an applicant, provider, or prospective employee has abused or neglected a vulnerable adult
