Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 490:3-308(b) to remove reference to Section 490:3-301 regarding entitlement to enforce negotiable instruments.

Deletes the definition of "person entitled to enforce" from Section 490:3-103.

Repeals Section 490:3-301 entirely, which previously defined "person entitled to enforce" as the holder of an instrument, a nonholder in possession with holder rights, or a person entitled to enforce under specified sections.

Removes the definition of "person entitled to enforce" from Section 490:4-104 regarding bank deposits and collections.

Takes effect on July 1, 2012, with no retroactive application to rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that existed before the effective date.
