Requires defendants granted a deferral of their plea under Hawaii Revised Statutes section 853-1 to pay a probation services fee

Defendants with deferred pleas currently use the same probationary resources as defendants on probation but are not assessed probation services fees

Probation services fees on deferred plea defendants will make them financially accountable for supervision services and help offset rising judicial costs
