Appropriates funds to create a wellness pilot program for Medicaid recipients and QUEST members to reduce chronic disease incidence and promote healthier lifestyles

Establishes a joint legislative task force to examine issues related to Medicaid and identify solutions to prevent future Medicaid shortfalls

Makes task force participation by named private entities voluntary through invitation rather than mandatory requirement

Receives support from the Hawaii Medical Association and comments from Ohana Health Plan and the Department of Human Services

Contains technical amendments for clarity and style in final version (H.D. 1, S.D. 2)
