• Applies to emergency vehicles including police, fire department, ambulances, and tow trucks rendering assistance to another vehicle or person.

• Violations constitute misdemeanors punishable under section 706-640, with drivers subject to prosecution under this section or other applicable laws.

• Effective upon approval and does not affect rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that existed before the law's enactment.
