• Mandates reporting on abortions performed, miscarriages, full-term pregnancies, types and frequency of pregnancy complications, and frequency of doctor appointments for pregnant inmates.

• Allows the Department of Public Safety to include other pregnancy-related information it deems pertinent in the annual reports.

• Establishes this reporting requirement to ensure the state provides adequate health care for pregnant women in correctional custody.

• Takes effect upon approval.
