Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 6E-3 to require the historic preservation division to consult with native Hawaiian cultural practitioners possessing expertise on applicable island history and cultural practices when conducting archaeological investigations.

Consultation requirement applies to archaeological investigations related to historic or cultural properties, artifacts, burial sites, burial goods, or human skeletal remains.

Modifies the regulation of archaeological activities throughout the State to include this mandatory consultation provision.

Takes effect upon approval.
