Requires the contractors license board to conduct criminal history record checks on all applicants for contractor licenses effective January 1, 2012, in accordance with section 846-2.7.

Requires existing license holders issued prior to January 1, 2012, to undergo criminal history record checks conducted by the board.

Directs the board to adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 establishing procedures for conducting the required criminal history record checks.

Amends section 846-2.7 to add contractors license board as an authorized entity to conduct criminal history record checks on applicants and license holders.

Effective date: July 1, 2011.
