Proposes amendment to Hawaii Constitution Article III, Section 6 to add one-year district residency requirement for state legislative candidates.

Requires candidates for state senate and house of representatives to have been residents of their respective districts for at least one year immediately before the general election, special election, or appointment.

Mandates candidates prove compliance with district residency requirements as provided by law.

Ballot question asks voters whether Constitution should be amended to impose the one-year district residency requirement for state legislature candidates.

Amendment takes effect upon compliance with Hawaii Constitution Article XVII, Section 3.
