The Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) is requested to acquire the "Honolulu Ford parcel" and other Kamehameha Schools-owned lands in Kakaako makai.

Upon acquisition, the HCDA is requested to develop the parcels for medical or scientific uses that complement the John A. Burns School of Medicine and University of Hawaii Cancer Center.

The HCDA is requested to submit a progress report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2013 Regular Session, including any proposed legislation.

Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to the Governor, HCDA Board Chairperson, Dean of the John A. Burns School of Medicine, Director of the University of Hawaii Cancer Center, and Chairperson of Kamehameha Schools Board of Trustees.
