Request that the City and County of Honolulu waive all fees and fines incurred or to be incurred by the Waimanalo community related to construction and demolition of Kupuna Terrace.

Kupuna Terrace was a community-built beachside park with eleven picnic tables created by Waimanalo residents using over 200 volunteer hours and more than $50,000 in donated materials on Department of Hawaiian Home Lands property.

City and County of Honolulu deemed the structure unsafe due to sloping terrain, proximity to Kalanianaole Highway, and limited parking, leading to demolition orders.

Request that the City and County of Honolulu provide adequate time for the Waimanalo community to restore the site to its original condition.

Transmission of this concurrent resolution to the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu is required.
