Request the Department of Public Safety to develop a simplified version of the electronic prescription accountability system for veterinarians by December 31, 2012

Direct the Department to provide veterinarians a reasonable transition period after system development and notification before mandatory reporting compliance

Require submission of a progress report to the Governor, Senate President, House Speaker, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and President of the Executive Board of the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association prior to the 2013 Regular Session

Committee on Public Safety & Military Affairs concurs with the measure's intent and recommends referral to the Committee on Finance
