Requests that the State Auditor conduct a follow-up audit of the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation's management of state boating facilities, particularly the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor.

Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation remains in the process of implementing recommendations from prior legislative audits conducted in 1993, 1998, 2001, and a 2006 financial audit.

Division has completed over $113,000,000 in statewide capital improvement projects since 2001 and over $7,000,000 in improvements at Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor specifically.

Division has renovated or replaced over 60 percent of all slips at Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor within the past ten years.

Committee on Water, Land, & Ocean Resources concurs with the measure and recommends referral to the Committee on Legislative Management.
