Urges the President of the United States and Congress to create and adopt an appropriate flag to honor military veterans and their service to the nation.

Notes that over twenty million veterans have served in the United States armed services, with flags existing for individual military branches, POWs, and MIAs, but no official flag dedicated to veterans.

Committee amended the measure to call for creation of an "appropriate flag" rather than specifically mandating adoption of the Veterans Remembered Flag design.

Committee received testimony supporting the measure from one individual and opposition from the Maui County Veterans Council.
