Request that the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum of the University of Hawaii at Manoa update its 2004 Final Report on Evaluating Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Options for the State of Hawaii.

Require the updated report to be submitted to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2013.

Allow the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum to engage necessary consultants to assist in preparing the updated report.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Public Utilities Commission Chairperson, Hawaii State Energy Office Administrator, Hawaii Energy Policy Forum Chair, and Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii Executive Director.
