Requests the Department of Public Safety to develop a simplified version of the electronic prescription accountability system for veterinarians by December 31, 2012.

Requires veterinarians be given reasonable time to comply with reporting requirements after the system is developed and veterinarians are notified.

Mandates a status report be submitted to the Governor, Senate President, House Speaker, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and President of the Executive Board of the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association prior to the 2013 Regular Session.

Applies specifically to compliance with Part VIII of Chapter 329, Hawaii Revised Statutes, pertaining to electronic prescription accountability requirements.
